Base

Steel base – all welded heavy wall steel base to absorb vibration and reduce high speed jerking

Composite aluminum monocoque construction with flat top, T-slot or vacuum options

 

Gantry
Stiff gantry tube is a lightweight aircraft aluminum composite, with splayed internal ribs to increase torsional rigidity. Fully boxed uprights to maximize torsional rigidity, allowing standard Z heights of up to 24”. All machined aircraft aluminum carriage with integral gussets and ribs.

 

Drive Systems
Brush DC servo motors on all axes. Mechanical Drive Systems: Rack and Pinion on x and y, ball screw on Z. Servo motor directly drives Z-axis ball screw (no intermediate belts) to maximize precision.

Large tooth 12 DP rack and pinion for industrial strength, therefore longer life. 0 clearance involute tooth profile on pinion, nitrided pinions for durability. 0 clearance high ratio gear box on x and y.Linear bearings – high precision double angle SKF bearings to support radial and axial thrust loads Rail System –
15mm high load square profile linear rails

 

Spindle
HSD 3hp, 5hp or 10 hp drives standard. Other drives available including tool changer, multiple spindles, spindle aggregate combinations, tapping spindles, dispensers.Automatic tool changer option: table end 6-8 tools.Rotary 4th Axison table or below working surface using removable table top.
